Karen, you are more than an extraordinary writer, you are an extraordinary human being. Your writing is so real and funny and vulnerable and honest. I wish I had the words to describe how deeply your words impact me. I’m going to leave you a long audio message soon to tell you of the ways I’ve already been quoting you from Holiness Here and the places where I will be recommending your work this fall. More on that later.

Doctorate in the Sacred Art of Writing sounds deep. I feel another book birthing K. I look forward to hearing more and reading of course. 🏃‍♀️

I echo the sentiments of this reader you quoted - I also enjoyed your book so much. One of my favorite lines is “we are a strange soup” when you were talking about the church - it made me laugh. But also very true. There were many other gems. Thank you for writing through all the hard.

And congratulations!

I am beyond thrilled for you! This new doctoral adventure will surely lead you further up and further in (to borrow from Narnia and The Waterboys) and that can only be both sacred and mystical for a writer of your calibre.
